TAEKWONDO is the popular, action-packed Korean Martial Art, which is also one of the Olympic sports. The emphasis is on kicks, with legs moving as freely as if they were arms.         Speed is essential, as is agility - moving the legs dynamically in all directions.   The above photos are from the World Championships 2005 in Madrid.     These photos are from the Olympic Games 2004 in Athens.     The below photos are from the European Championships 2005 in Riga.     The taekwondo dress needs to be soft and supple, to allow for all the speedy movements.       The protection gear, too, should take the strain without limiting the movements.
